Destination: Stoninton, Maine
About this photo: This photo was taken one early morning in Stonington, Maine. It was off season in December and the room was in a motel called Boyce. A great value for 38.00 a night. Afterwards I continued to go to another coastal town called Milbridge which has an oceanside motel called The Red Barn. Another great value at $126 a week in Winter and $145 a week in the summer. This area of of Maine I must add still has the most affordable ocean real estate. With lots across from the water with deeded access for 20K.

Destination: Nova Scotia
About this photo: This was taken when we were on our way to Brier Island which is in the southwest corner of Nova Scotia. This shows how a small harbor looks when the tide goes out. The boats are sitting on the sand; it’s so awesome. The ocean can be seen in the far background. When the tide comes back in, it can be heard quite loudly. Can’t wait to go back some day.
Best deal found: Buying a live lobster for $6.00 lb. and having it cooked for us for free. Imagine having a 2 lb. lobster for $12.00. Also, the smaller hotels and motels were never more than $65 a night; usually less.
