If you’ve tried out streaming services like Netflix, Sling TV, Hulu or YouTube TV and want to cancel to save money or for another reason, there are a few things you need to know.

In this article, we’ll outline the steps to cancel a free trial or monthly subscription to these popular services.

How To Cancel Netflix, Sling TV, Hulu and Other Streaming Services

For those who want to cut the cord, Team Clark recommends that you test out several streaming services until you find a favorite. That means you’ll likely have to cancel a service at some point.

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you decide to cancel a streaming service:

  1. Check your billing date: Even if you cancel well in advance, most streaming services allow you to continue watching until the end of your billing cycle. Free trials may end immediately.
  2. Log in from a computer to cancel: The easiest way to cancel is from a desktop or laptop computer.
  3. You can always rejoin later: Major streaming services let you restart your membership at any time, with no contracts or long-term commitments.

Important note: The following instructions are for subscribers who signed up for a free trial or monthly subscription directly from the streaming provider, not a third-party.

If you’re billed through a third-party, you may need to contact them to cancel your subscription.
