Destination: Western Caribbean
About this photo: This photo was taken from my porthole window, sailing out of Fort Lauderdale on the Independance of the Seas. Cruisers experience breaktaking scenes as they sail away from our Florida coastline, scenes which rival those from any far off and exotic places.
Best deal found: The ships of Royal Caribbean Cruise lines offer such great values. The on-board experience is unbelievable. Who needs port stops. All the action happens on board. A turquoise and silver bracelet purchased in a shop at the cruise terminal in Cozumel ia my best deal on this cruise. One does have to really shop because there was a wide variation in pricing from shops right next to each other.

Destination: Wisconsin Dells
About this photo: This was me at the Wisconsin Dells a few years ago, showing how “brave” I am by placing my hand in the mouth of a giant Black Bear in one of the many parks in the Dells.
Best deal found: It was a vacation that started the day after Labor Day, and I got the motel room with 2 queen beds for only $35/night, as opposed to the normal $85/night during the typical tourist season, which had just ended on Labor Day. The weather was just as warm and comfortable the 4 days we spent there as it had been during August, plus we weren’t stuck with thousands of other tourists in the area by just waiting one day!
