Earn $$ with Roadie
Delta Air Lines has teamed up Roadie, a luggage delivery service. Earn money as a Roadie driver (think UBER) with payments typically from $8 to $50 a delivery trip, depending on how far the bags need to be transported. Roadie has offered as much as $650 for long-haul bag deliveries for larger-than-usual bags.
Delta says it gets bags delivered to passengers about 65% faster using Roadie than via traditional delivery service.
Travelers who use Roadie won’t have to head to the customer service desk at the airport if they discover that their luggage hasn’t reached its destination. The Fly Delta app will alert Roadie users that their luggage is lost with help from an RFID chip. Passengers can then file claims digitally. Luggage that is found and delivered to its intended destination is then given to one of Roadie’s local drivers for delivery. Drivers working with Roadie receive notifications when deliveries are needed and then use the Roadie app to connect with Delta customers.
Interested in baggage delivery in ATL? Download the Roadie app.
The next time you travel on Delta be sure to download the Fly Delta app.

New in KC
The new 21c Museum Hotel Kansas City just opened in the heart of Missouri’s largest city. To honor the building’s storied past, the new property reinvents the historic Savoy Hotel and Grill into a contemporary, 6,200-square-foot art museum, a 120-room boutique hotel and a locally-inspired restaurant.
The Savoy originally opened in the late 1800s during the height of the city’s famed cattle-drive days. The building was added on to over time, featuring an eclectic mix of Victorian and Arts and Crafts architectural details, finishes and murals, as well as 20th-century historical markers, and is the oldest, continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi. Part of the National Register of Historic Places, the on-site restaurant was a longtime favorite of former President Harry Truman, whose favorite booth is commemorated and noted in the refurbishment. The hotel has hosted other notables over the years, including Teddy Roosevelt, W.C. Fields, Will Rogers, Sara Bernhardt and John D. Rockefeller.
Contemporary art elements are interwoven throughout the building’s new public spaces. An onsite art series features a compilation of 31 uranium glass chandeliers hanging in the lobby dome; a sculptural installation of Native American dream catchers; and an immersive, color-saturated entry ramp transformed by light fixtures of varying length and color, producing an anamorphic optical illusion as guests enter and exit the property.
21c Kansas City is located between the Power and Light District and River Market in downtown Kansas City. Visitors and guests are welcomed to the hotel via 9th Street through the original entrance guiding visitors toward the lobby gallery where the original mosaic tile floor, historic plaster, and a stain-glass dome have been restored.
Guest rooms and suites feature soaring ceilings, contemporary furnishings and large windows overlooking the city below. One-bedroom suites add a separate living room and dining room area and a large outdoor terrace overlooking the downtown landscape.
Overnight room rates from $215.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and free of charge to the public, 21c Kansas City will provide a dynamic platform of contemporary art exhibitions, installations and cultural programming.
