Best deal found: For so many people. Independence fireworks celebration. Still is the best blast for your BUCK. Ok, ok but for Just a few bucks worth of gas, anybody can drive to most city grounds or parks. In our case driver drops people, reclining chairs, cooler filled with goodies, Kind of like tailgating food, and drive around for a convenient parking spot, join party at park, kids can spend the time playing, just talk to friends or family, go sight seeing the crowds, wait for darkness to set in and bang…fireworks start up. so lay back and enjoy the best show on earth. Fireworks… UHHHHHH, AHHHHH

Destination: Washington DC
Best deal found:  Washington DC was amazingly affordable! We took the pop up camper and stayed at Cherry Hill Park with two big pools, mini golf, bike trails and super clean restrooms for $55 a night. All of the main DC attractions are free to enter. We packed lunch and took water bottles each day. In fact, the picture depicts our ‘lunch trash’ baseball game with an aluminum foil ball and water bottle bat. SO FUN!

Destination: New Orleans
Best deal found: What a deal, the three of us (TRL Trio: Tatjyana, Royalle, Lydia) went to the XXII ArenaBowl in New Orleans – we flew on Airtran and stayed at the InterContinental Hotel (same hotel as the winning team mind you 🙂 We were on the club level so breakfast, dinner and drinks were complimentary each day. Our seats at the game were 6 rows from the field on the 20 yard line. Plus they filmed us on ESPN for the world to see us partying like rock stars! We had VIP passes to the victory party with the team and danced until we could barely walk. All this for under $1200 for all of us! Congratulations to this years champion the Philadelphia Soul – maybe next year the Georgia Force will take it. All we know is we’ll be there.

Destination: Appensell, Switzerland
Best deal found: Take the train just south of Appenzell, CH and then a cable-car 5000 ft. to this fabulous hotel/restaurant on the side of the Ebenalp. Take the trail in front of hotel all the way to Slovenia. This is a “don’t miss it” experience; especially if you are a hiker.

Destination: Hartford CT
Best deal found: The best deal in Hartford CT is the free shuttle transportation throughout the downtown area. Also, many of the museums are free. Hartford is a city of beautiful buildings, many with unique architectural designs. I took this picture of the State Capitol through one of the arched windows of the Connecticut State Library Museum across the street.
