If you have four lines on your cell phone plan, you may be able to save by switching to Total by Verizon. The company recently announced that new customers can get a special online offer: four lines for $100/month with unlimited talk, text and data.
In this article, I’ll take a closer look at Total by Verizon’s family plan including what you’ll get for the price and how it compares to other multi-line plans.
Total by Verizon’s Multiline Unlimited Plan
Total by Verizon offers two unlimited plans: Unlimited and Unlimited+. For a while, new customers were able to get an in-store exclusive deal on four lines. Now, Total by Verizon has brought the savings online.
Total by Verizon’s most affordable unlimited plan typically costs $37.50 per line per month for four lines online. However, new customers can now get the unlimited plan online for $25 per line four lines, making the bill $100/month plus taxes and fees for the first year.
Here’s what you’ll get with the unlimited plan:
- Unlimited talk, text and data
- Access to Verizon Wireless’ 5G network
- 10GB mobile hotspot
- Unlimited talk and text to five countries of your choice
- No-contract monthly plan
- Disney+ Premium (no ads) for the first six months
In addition to four lines for $100, new customers may also get two lines on the same plan for $75 which is a $10 savings compared to the plan’s regular two-line price ($42.50 per line per month).
The two-line and four-line promotion is applicable for 12 consecutive months according to Total by Verizon’s website. After the first year, the price will revert to normal ($150/month for four lines or $85/month for two lines). However, you can cancel service with Total by Verizon at any time.

Total by Verizon: A Cheaper Alternative to Verizon Wireless
In September of last year, Total Wireless rebranded to become Total by Verizon. The prepaid Verizon MVNO provides access to the major carrier’s LTE and 5G networks. Additionally, it’s one of the only prepaid carriers to include a streaming perk with select plans: Disney+.
Compared to Verizon Wireless’ postpaid unlimited plans, Total by Verizon offers cheaper prices for unlimited access to the same network.
Verizon Wireless’ Unlimited Welcome costs $75 for one line, or $160/month for four lines, before any autopay or BYOD discounts. Alternatively, Total by Verizon offers unlimited plans beginning at $50 for one line, or you can get four unlimited lines for $100/month for the first year.
While Total by Verizon doesn’t offer the cheapest unlimited plans overall for one line (Visible and Boost Mobile offer unlimited data for $25/month for one line and Mint Mobile offers unlimited data with 40GB of high-speed for $30), getting four lines of unlimited data for $100/month is always a good deal.
In fact, only one other prepaid phone plan offers a better multi-line deal for four lines: Google Fi Wireless (Review) offers Simply Unlimited for $20 per line per month ($80 total).

Final Thoughts
Total by Verizon has made it easier for new customers with four lines to save more on their monthly phone bill. Now, new customers can sign up online or in-store to get four lines for unlimited data for $100/month plus taxes and fees. However, the savings will only last for one year (12 consecutive months) before prices revert to normal. Still, you can cancel your plan at any time.
