Steps to Sell Your Stuff on Letgo
- Download the app and set up your profile
- Click “Sell your stuff” and choose a category
- Snap a picture of what you’re selling
- Enter the price you want to charge
- Post and wait for a buyer!
You can add more pictures and edit the auto-generated description to make your posting more appealing to potential buyers.
Another thing you’ll want to consider is whether to post the item on multiple platforms like OfferUp, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
If you do, make sure you’re checking each of the platforms regularly to ensure you don’t miss messages from potential buyers.

You can sell pretty much anything with this app! Categories on Letgo include:

Is Letgo Safe?
Letgo is as safe to use as any other digital marketplace like Craigslist or Facebook. Letgo doesn’t do background checks, but they do have steps that let you become a verified user.
If you have a bad feeling about a seller or potential buyer, don’t risk it. You can also block or report a user within the app if you feel uncomfortable.
How to Rate and Review on Letgo
Letgo lays out its rating process on its FAQ page. To review your buyer:
- Go to the listing you sold
- Mark it as sold and select who you sold it to
- Rate your experience with them by tapping the stars and at least one word that describes your interactions
- Describe your experience and interactions
- Tap “Publish review” to save it
As a buyer reviewing a seller, you have to wait until after the seller rates you in order to rate them. To review your seller:
- After the seller has reviewed you, go to the review they’ve written about you
- Tap the three dots to the right of the review
- Tap “Review user”
- Rate your experience with them by tapping the stars and at least one word that describes your interactions
- Describe your experience and interactions
- Tap “Publish review” to save it

Letgo makes money from ads and featured listings. You won’t be charged for posting or using the app.
How to Delete Your Letgo Account
Letgo lays out how you can completely remove your account on its FAQ page.
To permanently delete your account, you must log in to Letgo and submit a request through the contact form in the app. Follow these steps:
- Make sure you’re logged in
- Tap “Tech support & bug reports” at the bottom of this page
- Select a subject and add a message
- Tap the “Send” button
