Mint Mobile is making it even easier to save on your cell phone bill with discounted rates for new customers. Now through July 5, all of Mint Mobile’s three-month prepaid plans are available for $15 per month.
This article will take a close look at Mint Mobile’s newest deal and help you decide whether or not you should make the switch.
The Details: How To Get 3 Months of Unlimited for $45
But Mint Mobile has introduced a new limited-time deal that it says is designed to help counter rising prices for cell phone service. Now through July 5, all new three-month plans have dropped to $15 per month.
Here are the available plans:
- 4GB of high-speed data plus unlimited talk and text
- 10GB of high-speed data plus unlimited talk and text
- 15GB of high-speed data plus unlimited talk and text
- 35GB of high-speed data plus unlimited talk and text
All of Mint Mobile’s plans include unlimited data at 2G speeds. So when you do hit your monthly data limit, you won’t have to wait until the next month for more, you’ll simply experience slower speeds.
Mint Mobile is a prepaid phone service provider that requires you to pay three months upfront for each of the above plans. That brings the total due at the time of activation to $45 (plus taxes and fees) for any Mint Mobile plan through July 5.
After three months, the plans will renew at the full rate:
- 4GB: $25 per month ($75 total for three months)
- 10GB: $35 per month ($105 total for three months)
- 15GB: $45 per month ($135 total for three months)
- 35GB: $40 per month ($120 total for three months)
Mint Mobile: A Reliable, Affordable MVNO
If you aren’t familiar with Mint Mobile, it’s an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) that runs on T-Mobile’s towers. It provides access to the same service and 5G network (on capable devices) for a fraction of the price.
Mint Mobile’s plan prices make them one of several really aggressive inexpensive discounters in the cell phone space according to money expert Clark Howard. These are the reasons that Mint Mobile has won several awards on Clark.com including the following:
I recently tried out Mint Mobile myself, and I had a great experience with service, data speeds and support. If you’re thinking about making the switch to Mint Mobile, be sure to read my full Mint Mobile review here first.
Final Thoughts: Should You Switch?
If you’re wondering whether or not you should make the switch to Mint Mobile, here’s my recommendation: Check your phone’s compatibility online, make sure you’ll have service in your area by checking Mint Mobile’s coverage map and then give it a try!
Mint Mobile offers access to T-Mobile’s excellent network via extremely affordable plans, especially those with unlimited data. Now with the Mint Modern Family Plan, it’s easier than ever to manage multiple lines while taking advantage of Mint Mobile’s savings.
While Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile are trying to push rates up, all these discounters are being very aggressive on price. You have to decide if they’re good for you or not, but if they are, you’re going to save money each and every month and tons of money over the course of a year if you go with one of the deep discounters.
