The battle for burger supremacy is on with the latest in a seemingly endless tally of ‘best of’ lists!

Who makes the best burger?
This time it’s respected market research firm Harris Poll wading into the debate.
They’ve named In-N-Out Burger as the best thing since patties were first planted between two halves of a hamburger bun.
Runners-up in the tally included Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Culver’s, Wendy’s, Sonic America’s Drive-In, Whataburger and Steak ‘n Shake.
Several other burger joints ranked below category average in the study. Listed alphabetically, they include Burger King, Carl’s Jr., Checkers/Rally’s, DQ Grill & Chill, Hardee’s, Jack in the Box, McDonald’s and White Castle.

In addition to looking at the burger world, Harris Poll also turned its eye toward other segments of the restaurant industry. Here’s what they found:
