There are several ways to get your credit score for free, and many credit card companies offer you your FICO score for free as a cardholder, such as American Express, Bank of America, Barclaycard US, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and Discover.

But Discover is now offering a free FICO scorecard available to anyone — not just cardholders — making it the first credit card company to do so.

How to get your free FICO credit scorecard

All you have to do to get your free FICO credit scorecard is request it at the company’s website here, and Discover will provide you with the following:

  • Your personalized credit profile
  • FICO® Score based on data from Experian

Discover says in its FAQ that checking your score will not affect your credit, and the company also says it will not share your information with anyone. But, it is a great move by Discover to gather information to approach potential cardholders with credit offers. Discover offers free FICO credit scores to cardholders on an ongoing basis — not just as a one-time service.

If you want to get your FICO score for free from discover, just go to this page.
