Frontier Airlines, the Denver-based company offering no-frills flights for low fares, just announced that it will begin service on nearly 70 new routes and resume 40 additional ones that are seasonal in April.

The new service is part of the airline’s goal “of making travel more affordable for 90 percent of Americans,” Daniel Shurz, a Frontier senior vice president, said in a news release on the deals.

Much of the company’s focus has been on the metropolitan areas that serve Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Hartsfield’Jackson Atlanta International Airport, McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), O’Hare International Airport (Chicago). But the new routes mark a significant expansion.

Along with Austin getting 19 new routes this spring, the airline said the Texas city will serve 30 destinations nonstop.

Some of the top destinations, according to our sister site ClarkDeals.com, include $69 round-trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
