YouTube TV customers will be happy to know that June 2023 brings some fresh channel offerings.
And they’ll be even happier to know that those additional channels come without a new price hike.
The popular live TV streaming service announced channel additions to its Base Plan, Sports Add-on and Spanish Plan effective June 1, 2023.
YouTube TV Adds New Channels to Lineup in June 2023
Base Plan Additions
YouTube TV recently announced that it has added four new channels to its Base Plan:
- Magnolia Network: A collection of original series curated by “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines. It includes all seasons of their popular shows, as well as many of the favorites from the defunct DIY Network.
- TBD: Self-characterized as “bite-sized TV to fit your day.” Features competition reality favorites like “Fear Factor” and “Wipeout.”
- CHARGE! TV: Features popular police procedural shows like “Without a Trace,” “CSI: NY” and “CSI: Miami.”
- T2: Typically known as a free, ad-supported TV channel, T2 is the sister station to the Tennis Channel.
The price for the service’s Base Plan remains $72.99 after an $8 per month price hike earlier in 2023.
Sports Plus Add-on Addition
YouTube TV also added the following to the Sports Add-on package:
- Tennis Channel: A 24-hour network dedicated to tennis coverage and analysis. It brings live coverage of many of the world’s top tennis tournaments.
The Sports Plus Add-on package costs $10.99 per month and includes access to the NFL RedZone channel.
Oh, and as far as sports go for YouTube TV, there are a couple more items of interest:
- YouTube TV customers have until June 6, 2023, to take advantage of a promotion that gives them $100 off the retail price of NFL Sunday Ticket. The upcoming NFL season will be the first of exclusive rights for Google’s streaming business.
- The network still does not have an agreement with MLB Network. The popular baseball channel was removed from the Base Package earlier in 2023 amid a carriage dispute.
Spanish Plan Additions
YouTube TV made the following channels available on both the standalone Spanish Plan and the Spanish Plus Add-on package:
- Tre3s Channel
- Hogar de HGTV Channel
The Spanish Plan is a standalone subscription that costs $34.99 per month. The Spanish Plus Add-on package is available for purchase as an addition to the Base Plan. It costs $14.99 per month.
