Chick-fil-A testing family meals, expanded sides selection

Chick-fil-A is rolling out a new initiative aimed at bringing families back together around the dinner table with its new Family Style Meals.

Developed with families in mind, Chick-fil-A has launched a trial run of Family Style Meals in Phoenix, San Antonio, and Greensboro, NC.

In a post on the company news blog The Chicken Wire Chick-fil-A said, “Family Style Meals include one entrée, two sides and eight mini rolls to serve four people, with the option to add additional entrees, shareable sides and beverages. Plates, utensils and condiments are also included.”

The fast food company recognizes that its consumers want more options, especially for takeout. According to Chick-fil-A, about 36% of its dinner customers bring their meal home.

Other options being tested in these cities are baked beans and macaroni and cheese as sides. These choices will be available for the Family Style Meals as well as regular menu side items.

The test will run now until November 8th in those three cities — so if you live near one, head to Chick-fil-A and test it yourself. As for the rest of us, we may be seeing Family Style Meals at Chick-fil-A locations near us soon!
