Stable internet service is one of the must-haves today in any home or office. If you’re searching for a new internet provider, it may be helpful to know how customers feel about the different companies out there.

The latest report on internet providers from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) ranks the companies on a 100-point scale based on how people who use the respective services feel about them.

ACSI’s Telecommunications Study 2020-2021 was conducted between April 1, 2020, and March 29, 2021, and is based on interviews from 37,907 customers.

Report: AT&T Is the Best Internet Service Provider

Here are some key findings in the report:

  • AT&T comes in first place among internet service providers with a score of 71, a 4% increase over the previous year.
  • Verizon Fios falls to second place ranking as the top internet service provider last year.
  • Five of 11 providers improved their scores over the previous year.

In today’s landscape where phone service carriers and cable companies vie for your internet dollar, money expert Clark Howard is a big proponent of playing one against the other to get a better deal.

“If you’re willing to go from one to the other and then maybe a year later go back to the first, that’ll help,” Clark says.

Let’s take a look at the latest ACSI rankings for internet service providers.
