Job alert: Delta is hiring 1,000 flight attendants for 2020 class

If you’ve been looking for jobs in the travel industry, Delta Air Lines is hiring 1,000 flight attendants for the 2020 class.

Delta says applications are now open for this coveted position. If selected, a candidate must complete six weeks of training at Delta’s world headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Delta hiring: 1,000 flight attendants needed 

“Our incredible team of 25,000 flight attendants strives to bring their absolute best to our customers every single day,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s Senior Vice President — In-Flight Service. “We are excited to add more talented professionals and welcome highly skilled, safety-minded problem solvers who have a passion for creating memories and connecting the world.”

To qualify, you must have a high school degree or GED, the ability to work in the U.S., English fluency and be at least 21 years of age by January 1, 2020.

Since Delta flights operate day and night, a willingness to work a flexible schedule is also a must.

Do you know a second language? Delta says that’s a plus. The airline is seeking those who have fluency in English and one of the following languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, Greek, German, Italian, Japanese, and Korean.

Here’s what Delta says the best flight attendant resumes will include:

  • One plus years of work experience in personalized customer service, patient care or similar role
  • Experience in a role ensuring the safety and/or care of others
  • Completion of a degree beyond high school or GED
