There’s great news for UPS customers (and job hunters who look good in brown). The company is adding Saturday ground delivery and pickup services, joining the United States Postal Service and FedEx in the weekend delivery game.
UPS says the change is “one of the largest in the company’s 109-year-history” and will result in a major hiring spree.

“The addition of another ground operations day more efficiently utilizes our existing delivery network and offers customers an even faster ground delivery solution,” said Teresa Finley, UPS’s chief marketing officer.
The shipping company began testing Saturday service in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Los Angeles last year. It will expand to 15 additional metro areas this month:
If your city isn’t on this list, not to worry. UPS says nearly 4,700 cities and towns will have Saturday service by November, just in time for the busy holiday season.
