Home Depot is making it easier for customers to get the items they need delivered to them as quick as possible. The Atlanta-based company just announced that it is expanding its express delivery service to more than 35 markets.

At the heart of the changes at Home Depot are faster options for same-day, next-day and two-day delivery options, as well as partnerships with courier-service apps like Roadie and Deliv, according to a news release.

Home Depot Express Delivery service: What you need to know

Delivery has become a crucial area for retailers with the rise of Amazon’s state-of-the-art shipping apparatus, bolstered by the Seattle-based company’s formidable Prime membership.

Founded as a single hardware store in 1978, Home Depot has grown into the world’s largest home improvement store. One reason why the company has continued to expand is because of its ability to adapt to market forces. Speedy delivery has become a must in today’s marketplace.

To use the company’s same-day delivery service, orders must be placed before 9 a.m. Next day delivery orders must be placed by 9 p.m. the previous day. The company is also offering certain items eligible for free shipping to a home, job site or local store.
