If you’re wondering whether an Amazon Prime subscription is worth it, you should compare its benefits to other paid programs like Walmart+.
If you plan to take advantage of online sales, money expert Clark Howard says the #1 way you can save is by comparison shopping.
That may even mean that you’ll have to toggle between websites to find the best deal. If you find an item on sale at Amazon.com, Clark says to be sure to check other retailers first before you buy. Here’s why:
“The thing I’ve always noticed about Prime Day is they have certain items that are a deal, and then a bunch of items that I call ‘non-sale sales’: They’re pretending to be great deals — but are not.”
If you find that something you’ve purchased is not what it seems, take advantage of the return policies of Target, Walmart as well as other stores with price-match guarantees.
