If you’re into loyalty retail programs, you might be familiar with Plenti.

Launched in 2015, Plenti allowed shoppers to enroll in just one reward program that worked across multiple retailers.

But now the loyalty program is coming to an end on July 10, 2018.

At last check, Plenti partnered with 9 retailers, mainly across the food and fuel categories:

  • BI-LO
  • Exxon
  • Chili’s
  • Fresco y Más
  • Harvey’s Supermarket
  • Macy’s
  • Mobil
  • Rite-Aid
  • Winn-Dixie

The idea of the program was that for every so-many dollars you spent at a participating retailer, you would get points. When you accumulated 500 points, you could redeem them for $5 at any participating Plenti partner — even if you didn’t accrue the points there.

But that’s all coming to an end.

You can continue to earn points up until July 10 at select retailers, but you’ll only be able to use them at Exxon and Mobil gas stations, Rite-Aid stores, BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harvey’s and Winn-Dixie through that same date.

‘Use it or lose it’ deadline for two retailers comes May 3

Macy’s, meanwhile, is exiting the loyalty partnership even sooner.

The department store first announced back in February that it was breaking up with Plenti. As part of that schism, you couldn’t earn any new points on Macy’s purchases after March 15.

Now the final day of reckoning has come — you’ll only be allowed to use Plenti points at Macy’s through May 3.

Ditto for Chili’s. The restaurant will only allow you to redeem Plenti rewards through May 3, too.

So what’s next?

According to Plenti, six participating businesses plan to enroll you in their new independently run loyalty programs.

These include BI-LO, Exxon, Fresco y Más, Harvey’s, Mobil and Winn-Dixie.

Each one will replace any unredeemed Plenti points earned at their locations between May 10 and July 10 when an equal number of points in their new programs when they get them up and running.
