Are you having trouble with your Xfinity by Comcast service? The cable giant is dealing with a major outage Friday afternoon.
Comcast’s Twitter account for customer service issues has confirmed that residential internet, video and voice customers are affected by the nationwide outage.
As of about 2 p.m., the company said it was working to restore service as soon as possible:
“One of Comcast’s large backbone network partners had a fiber cut that we believe is also impacting other providers. It is currently affecting our business and residential internet, video and voice customers. We apologize & are working to get services restored as soon as possible”
If your cable or internet service isn’t working, Comcast says you can check if a service outage has been reported in your area by signing in to your account.
