How to Change Your HVAC Filter

Some tasks around the house are so simple that there’s almost no need to call in a professional to do them.

Changing your furnace filter — what people also call their HVAC filter — is one of them.

Of course, we should note that regular changes of this filter are included in most HVAC maintenance plans. That means about twice a year, an HVAC repairman will come to your home to check your system, give it a tune-up if necessary and change the filter for you.

That’s all well and good, but if you want your system to really operate at peak efficiency between semiannual tune-ups, you’re going to want to change your filter yourself every three months.

And now you know how to do it!
