If you buy frozen chicken at Costco Wholesale, check your freezer to see if it’s part of a new recall.

The recalled chicken was sold at a limited number of Costco locations in Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah and Washington. No other retailers are involved.
These patties were sold in five-pound bags with the establishment number P-33901 and a “best buy” date of 02/15/18 printed on the front of the package.
Here’s a picture provided by Foster Farms:
This recall was issued after three people reported finding clear, soft plastic in the chicken patty products. The plastic originated from the manufacturer’s packaging materials.
Foster Farms released the following statement:
Food safety is, and has always been, our top priority. We are vigilant in employing the most up-to-date safety measures to produce wholesome, healthy and delicious food products. Foster Farms maintains a Food Safety Advisory Board comprising leading national food safety experts to validate best practices, evaluate emerging technologies and to help guide the company’s food safety systems for fresh and frozen products on an ongoing basis.
If you have these chicken patties in your freezer, you shouldn’t eat them. Throw them out right away or take them back to Costco for a full refund.
Anyone with questions about the recall can contact Foster Farms at 800-338-8051.
