To aid people in the market for new vehicles, the site recently released its top car picks for 2020 based on survey data from hundreds of thousands of their members.
Consumer Reports assigned cars an overall score on a 100-point scale based on several factors, including road tests, predicted reliability and owner satisfaction.
In a first, they also gave extra credit to vehicles with standard pedestrian detection, an important safety feature in today’s models.

“When shopping online for vehicles, try entering different zip codes in addition to your own,” he says. “If the savings are large enough elsewhere, get ready for a road trip!”
