If you look forward to complimentary snacks and beverages on flights, Delta is making some changes that you’ll want to know about before your next trip!

In a news release, the airline announced it’s refreshing its free snack selections once again starting in June.

Delta’s new and improved snacks

In addition to those Biscoff cookies that everyone loves, Delta will offer Squirrel Brand almonds, Pretzel Perfection Olive Oil & Sea Salt Pretzels and KIND Healthy Grains Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut bars.

To cater to those with dietary restrictions, the airline says all three of the new snacks are gluten free.

This latest menu refresh comes after the airline upgraded its snack offerings last December, retiring its Delta-branded peanuts and pretzels for premium choices.

Meanwhile, Delta has brought back free meals to some of its longest flights.

Basic economy fares expand

If you’re more concerned about the price of your ticket than the in-flight experience, Delta recently expanded its no-frills “basic economy” fares.

According to Delta’s website, this option typically has the lowest fare, but changes are not allowed and seats are assigned after check-in. These travelers are also not eligible for upgrades.

However, snack and beverage service is included, as well as in-flight entertainment.

How to find the lowest fares

To find the lowest fares, start with a comparison site like Kayak. The website’s price forecast, which is located in the upper-left corner of a search results page, can help you decide whether to buy the ticket or wait to see if fares drop.

And always remember Clark’s #1 rule of cheap travel is to buy the deal first and then figure out why you want to go there!
