A couple of years ago, Clark got excited when Tesla founder Elon Musk announced that he wanted a technology to shuttle people between Los Angeles and San Francisco in a high-speed pneumatic tube.

Elon Musk imagined the so-called hyperloop technology as ‘a cross between a Concord, a rail gun and an air hockey table,’ according to one of his tweets at the time.

Recently, Musk invited teams of students from around the country and around the world to test their hyperloop devices on a test track he had built. A team from the Netherlands won the competition. Here is what they’re proposing…
