Netflix has raised prices on all of its subscription plans, according to brand-new pricing on its sign-up page.

Details of the Netflix 2019 price hike

The streaming giant’s most popular plan — its Standard plan that offers high-definition streaming on two different devices at the same time — will bump up to $13/month, a $2 increase over the previous $11/month price tag.

Budget-conscious customers who have been content to watch programming in standard definition on one screen only (i.e. the Basic plan) will also have to pay $1 more. The price on that plan has now gone to $9/month, up from $8.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s Premium plan now costs $16/month, a $2 monthly increase over previous pricing. Subscribers to this high-end plan can watch up to four different streams at once on four devices.

All told, the price increases are in the 13% to 18% range and will impact all 58 million U.S. subscribers, according to Associated Press.

This is the largest price increase in the company’s 12-year history.

Netflix is currently riding high after big wins at the Golden Globe Awards and the debut of the wildly successful new original film called Bird Box. The streaming service last raised prices in late 2017.
