Some iPhone users are fed up with Apple because their phones are apparently shutting down for no reason with 30% of the battery remaining.

iPhone users complain of battery drain

We first learned about this issue last November when Apple announced a free battery replacement program for a “very small number” of iPhone 6s devices that may unexpectedly shut down.

Apple said a limited number of devices manufactured between September and October 2015 were affected.

However, other users who said they downloaded iOS 10 also complained about the so-called 30% battery bug, which causes their phones to drain from 30% to 1% and then shut off.

Since last October, an Apple discussion board dedicated to this topic has grown to 125 pages and counting.

According to a report in Forbes, the new release of iOS 10.2.1 does nothing to address this apparent issue, and many people on the discussion board have said the same thing.

Dino Lupo uploaded this video of his experience to YouTube:

While we wait to see if a software fix is coming, affected users may want to go into the Apple Store to see if there’s a problem with their battery.

And follow this link to see if you’re eligible for a free replacement under the program we mentioned.
