Apple says it has solved a glitch that gave iPhone users a lot of trouble this past week.

People who updated their Apple devices to iOS 11 found that when they typed the letter “i” it autocorrected to the letter “A” with a symbol.

As of November 9, Apple said the issue was fixed in iOS 11.1.1. To update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the latest version of iOS, go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap Download and Install.

Apple first addressed the problem November 6 and said users could set up text replacement for the letter “i” as a temporary fix:

1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement
2. Tap the plus sign
3. For Phrase, type an upper-case “I” and then type a lower-case “i” for Shortcut

But now that the software update has been released, the easiest thing to do is just download the patch. Problem solved!
