fuboTV Is Adding ESPN and These Disney-Owned Networks to Its Lineup

fuboTV, a sports-focused live TV streaming service, is adding ESPN to its channel lineup starting this summer.

In a news release, fuboTV announced a multi-year deal with Disney Media Networks to bring the following channels to its base package:

ABC
ABC News Live
Disney Channel
Disney Junior
Disney XD
Freeform
ESPN
ESPN2
ESPN3
SEC Network (in-market)
ACC Network (in-market)
FX
FXX
National Geographic

Other fuboTV packages will include out-of-market for SEC Network and ACC Network, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, FXM, Fox Life, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo and BabyTV.

“With the addition to our lineup of the ESPN suite of channels, we continue to make good on our promise to sports fans to be the undisputed home of professional and college sports,” said fuboTV CEO David Gandler. “fubo is equally delighted to add the storied Disney, ABC, FX and Nat Geo networks to round out a robust programming portfolio for the whole family to enjoy.”

Prior to this announcement, I recently updated my fuboTV review and noted the absence of Disney-owned networks — particularly ESPN and ABC.

Many cord-cutters may give fuboTV a second look when these channels make their debut this summer.

A specific launch date hasn’t been announced. We also don’t know if fuboTV plans to raise its starting price — currently $54.99 per month — when the new channels are added.

As of right now, fuboTV costs about the same as two of its main competitors: YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV.
