Prime Day 2017: 2-hour Alexa exclusive shopping window

Amazon has just announced that voice shoppers will have early access to select Prime Day deals two hours before everyone else starting July 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET.

In addition, Amazon says more than 100 Alexa exclusive deals are available right now.

“This is going to be the most exciting Prime Day yet for voice shoppers,” said Assaf Ronen, Vice President Voice Shopping. “We have deals on everything from smart home products to devices, chocolates and more starting today and going all the way through July 17.”

Amazon Prime members can ask, “Alexa, what are your deals?” to get a rundown of the latest offers. Amazon also has two limited-time promos to get users to try this feature:

  1. First-time voice shopping customers who buy an Alexa deal between today and July 9 receive a $10 Amazon promo code
  2. Amazon device owners can sign up for their first year of Prime membership for just $79 (a $20 savings) by saying, “Alexa, sign me up for Prime”
