If you already love shopping on Amazon, this is going to make you love it even more!

Did you know there’s a way to have a small portion of every eligible Amazon purchase donated to the charity of your choice? It’s called AmazonSmile.

AmazonSmile: What you need to know

Simply sign in to smile.amazon.com using your email address and Amazon password, then select the charitable organization that you want to help support with your purchases.

There are almost one million charities to choose from, according to Amazon.

After you’ve made your selection, shop just like you normally would, and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to your charity.

Since Amazon is making the donation – not you – you don’t get a tax deduction.

And keep in mind, we’re only talking about 0.5% of the purchase price on eligible items, so a $200 purchase would mean a $1 donation.

It’s a nice thing to do, but it’s not an excuse to fill up your cart with things you don’t need.

AmazonSmile features the same products, same prices and same service that you get on Amazon, so just bookmark smile.amazon.com to get started.
