If you can’t make it through the day without having to tuck and re-tuck your dress shirt, there’s a simple fix – and it won’t cost you a penny.

Keep your shirt tucked all day long

We’ve all noticed when someone at the office has a shirt that’s just too baggy or puffy. And while sometimes the problem is that the shirt just doesn’t fit, men’s style experts say that’s not always to blame.

No matter what the case, there’s a simple solution.

In a YouTube video, Real Men Real Style founder Antonio Centeno says you can keep your dress shirt from coming untucked by tucking your undershirt into your underwear.

Yes, simply tuck your undershirt — not the dress shirt — into your underwear to solve the problem.

Centeno explains (scroll to 4:20 in the video) that by keeping your undershirt separate from your dress shirt, your dress shirt will look neat all day.

Here are three additional tips for a perfect look:

Get a shirt that fits: Centeno says a lot of men are walking around with 10 to 14 inches of excess material. Don’t be one of those guys! Buy a close-fitting shirt instead, or take it to a tailor for adjustments, which can cost about $15.

Make sure your shirt is long enough: You want your shirt to rest at least three inches below the belt line, according to Centeno. And here’s something to keep in mind while bargain shopping. Inexpensive shirts are often times too short because they’re cheaper to make that way.

Pay attention to the gig line: This refers to the imaginary line that goes down the middle of your shirt placket, belt buckle and the seam of your pant fly.
