How ordering Domino’s every day actually saved a man’s life

A Domino’s driver in Salem, Oregon, helped save the life of a regular customer whose delivery orders mysteriously stopped one day.

Pizza shop employee Tracey Hamblen had formed a relationship over the years with 48-year-old Kirk Alexander – and knew he suffered from severe health issues. After not receiving an order from the customer for 11 days, the staff started to worry. Hamblen went to check on him, and the team at Domino’s then alerted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

How Domino’s helped save the man’s life

When authorities arrived at the residence, they could hear a man calling for help from inside the home. Deputies forced their way inside and found the victim in need of immediate medical care.

Sarah Fuller, the store’s general manager, told KOIN-TV that Alexander had been ordering from them every day or almost every day since 2009.

“He orders all the time, so we know him. I think we were just doing our job checking in on someone we know who orders a lot. We felt like we needed to do something,” Fuller told KOIN.

Alexander is now in stable condition at the hospital, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
