You pay a lot of money for the beauty products that fill your bathroom cabinets and drawers, so you might as well use up every last bit of them!

Most of us probably turn shampoo or lotion bottles upside down when they’re nearly empty, but there still may be plenty of product left inside. This can be particularly tricky when you can’t see through the container.

Here’s a quick and easy technique to make sure that you get everything out of that bottle – and we mean everything!

Don’t let that last drop of shampoo or lotion go to waste

Step 1: Place a cup or two of water in a microwave-safe bowl or dish. Heat it up in the microwave on high for about a minute or two.

Step 2: After carefully removing the heated bowl from the microwave, place your shampoo or lotion bottle in the water for several minutes.

I used a travel size lotion, but this same method works on the regular ones as well.

Step 3: Turn your shampoo or lotion bottle upside down and watch as every last bit easily pours out. Store the product in any container that you have around.

I keep lotion in old contact lens cases because they’re so easy to take wherever you go.
