As images and stories of the devastation from Harvey continue to reach us from Southeast Texas, it’s hard not to feel a little bit helpless knowing our fellow Americans are suffering. Since most of us aren’t in a position to assist with rescue efforts directly, the next best thing is to give what we can to the organizations that exist to provide aid in times like these.
Clark says that if you want to make sure your money is going to the right places, you should donate to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, or — if you want to donate directly to the people of Houston — the United Way of Houston.
