Amazon is currently trying to fill lots of new work-from-home jobs, but you have to know where to look to avoid the scams.
Amazon.jobs is the retailer’s official employment website. When you click on “Remote career opportunities,” you’ll see a list of the latest virtual jobs that are available right now.
As recently as March, Amazon listed 3,000 customer service positions paying $15 an hour as part of its spring staffing blitz.
These positions entail communicating with customers by phone, chat and email to resolve issues around late packages, damaged items, promotions, returns/refunds, and much more.
Typical hours are between 20 and 29 per week with the possibility of up to 60 hours per week during crunch times. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
A high school diploma and related experience are required.
In addition to virtual customer service positions, other remote positions like technical account manager, migration lead, front-end engineer, program manager and security consultant are also available.
