If you’re a fan of Uber, you’ll want to know about these developments…
This one’s hot off the presses!
According to a published report in The New York Post, Uber board member Arianna Huffington is leading a push to hire Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg to replace Kalanick.
Other possible replacement candidates on the shortlist include former Disney COO Tom Staggs, ex-Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, CVS executive Helena Foulkes, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong and Turner CEO John Martin.
But Sandberg is said to be the top choice.
Trips on teen accounts will be assessed a $2 additional fee. Look for this to initially roll out in Seattle, Phoenix and Columbus, OH, before wider adoption, according to The Washington Post.
Did your driver help you unload your luggage at the airport even though it’s not really their job to do that?
Now you can give them a tip if you want with this new feature!
So far tipping is only available in Seattle, Minneapolis and Houston. But look for it in all U.S. cities by the end of July 2017.
Riders will now only have two minutes to cancel a ride after ordering it without having to face a $5 penalty.
That’s down from the five-minute grace period that riders previously had to cancel trips without incurring the fee.
Meanwhile, drivers will now get a per-minute rate for every minute that a pickup keeps them waiting after they arrive.
So if you can’t make it out to the car in a timely manner, expect to see a “Wait Time” fee on your receipt once the trip ends!
