We spend a lot of time on the Internet. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could see your entire Google search history in an easily downloadable format? Now you can!

Google search has been dropping in popularity while Bing and DuckDuckGo are rising. DuckDuckGo is an amazing search engine that gives you ad-free searching and makes no record of your search history. So nobody will know you were looking for personally embarrassing stuff!

Follow these steps to download your past Google searches

Google keeps getting unwanted attention about what deep info they may have on you or me, specifically what we’ve searched for in the past.

So they’ve made it really easy to see all your search data. You can easily download it, but don’t do this on a public computer! When you’re ready, just follow the instruction below, which come courtesy of Google.

  1. Visit your Web & App Activity page.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, click the Options icon (look for the little gear) and select Download.
  3. Click Create Archive.
  4. When the download is complete, you’ll get an email confirmation with a link to the data.

My advice? If you are searching for embarrassing stuff, don’t use Google. Whether you’re talking about something related to your health, your personal life, or something you’re just curious about, always use an incognito or private browsing session. And always, always, ALWAYS be sure to do your search on DuckDuckGo if what you’re looking up is of a sensitive nature!

A lot of people say, ‘Listen, my life isn’t interesting anyway. Let them look at whatever they want from my search history.’ But if you think back over time, I’m sure you’ll realize there have been at least some instances where what you’ve searched could cause you some level of embarrassment.
