The Fox Nation product has made its way to YouTube TV.

The popular live TV streaming service added Fox’s on-demand streaming subscription platform to the YouTube TV ecosystem on October 25, 2021. This will allow YouTube TV subscribers to sign up for the subscription as an add-on to their live streaming subscription and watch the content within the YouTube TV app.

The Fox Nation add-on subscription costs $5.99 per month through YouTube TV and will be charged alongside your regular monthly subscription of $64.99.

What Is Fox Nation?

If you’re not familiar with Fox Nation, it is a standalone on-demand streaming service that is offered by the Fox News Media Group.

This streaming service is a combination of Fox News opinion and political commentary shows such as Tucker Carlson Tonight; it also offers content that is created solely for the streaming platform.

That streaming-only content includes new episodes of the classic crime show Cops as well as personality-driven shows such as Crime Stories with Nancy Grace, Going Deep with Clay Travis and The Pursuit with John Rich.

The content categories include History, Politics, Lifestyle, Justice, Religion, Movies and Series.

It’s worth noting that YouTube TV subscribers already have on-demand capabilities for shows that air on Fox News. All you have to do is use your unlimited DVR space to record the shows you like as they air.

However, Fox Nation does offer content that you cannot find on the Fox News cable channel. For example, Tucker Carlson has a second show called Tucker Carlson Today that streams only on Fox Nation.

Is YouTube TV the Best Deal for Streaming Fox Nation?

Having quick access to Fox Nation by subscribing through YouTube TV could be a convenient option, but it may not be the most financially prudent one.

A quick look at the subscription prices on the Fox Nation website indicates that long-term subscribers are better off subscribing directly through the Fox News Media Group.

FOX Nation features 3 pricing options if you subscribe directly:

  • Monthly plan for $5.99
  • Annual plan for $64.99
  • 2-year plan for $99.00

Rather than perpetually paying $5.99 per month through YouTube TV, direct subscribers could save money with a one or two-year commitment. The per month rate for one year is $5.42, and the two-year plan drops it to $4.13 per month.

Of course, you may want to try out this service to make sure it is the right fit for your streaming entertainment needs.

You can do that by accessing a free seven-day trial on the Fox Nation website. Be warned that you’ll be asked to commit to a one or two-year plan that automatically charges at the end of your free trial. So you’ll want to make sure you cancel well in advance of your trial’s expiration to avoid being charged for an entire one or two-year term.

If you want to avoid that, you can view the first month of service for $0.99 on a month-by-month plan that you can cancel at any time.
