Target has issued a recall alert for a popular brand of dressers, the retailer said recently. The dresser, which comes in several colors, including black, brown and tan, could pose a hazard if it topples, according to a federal recall notice.
The recall is for Target’s Room Essentials 4-drawer dressers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in the notice. The drawer could cause “serious tip-over and entrapment hazards” to consumers, the agency said.
“The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children.”
People who have bought the dresser are urged to get a refund. The recall number on the item is 17-223.
