New shopping site Jet.com takes on Amazon & Costco

Jet.com, which officially launched Tuesday, is a new membership shopping site that’s being described as Amazon meets Costco.

It’s $50 per year to join and the site offers a wide range of products — from groceries to furniture to gadgets. Jet allows individual retailers to sell items through its platform, and when users search for particular products, the site will find you the best price.

‘We have an assortment that’s vast like Amazon’s, and pricing that’s similar to a wholesale store and membership,’ Jet CEO Marc Lore told CNNMoney.
