If you need proof that Amazon is now totally about convenience, not price, look no further than their Dash Buttons!
Read more: Is Amazon Prime worth it?
The Dash Button is this little plastic thingy available to Prime customers that will automatically reorder a product for you at the touch of a button.
There are Dash buttons for a lot of consumables like laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Think the big brands like Tide, Glad, Bounty, Gatorade, Clorox, Huggies, etc.
The idea is you affix the Dash Button to your washing machine or your refrigerator or wherever. Then when you are running low on your favorite products, you press the button. A green light signals that your order has been automatically placed and will show up at your home delivered right to your front door.
But here’s the thing: There’s no disclosure of price at all! So you don’t know what you’re paying.
The takeaway is this: If you don’t care what anything costs, then by all means go ahead and do Dash. But as for me, I will avoid the temptation and shop around!!!!
