One of the big new scams that has been surfacing lately involved criminals hacking in to your frequent flier mileage account to steal all of your hard-earned miles!

Criminals have realized how valuable these miles are and are now taking advantage of this by redeeming your miles for expensive front-of-the-plane tickets. They take fancy international trips with your miles or sell the tickets to someone and leave you with nothing.
Unfortunately, frequent flier mile programs are not really tight on security. So you’ll want to make sure you have more than a simple, easy to guess username and password for your account. Also, be sure to check your statements regularly. This way you’ll notice any redemption you didn’t’t make and you can contact the airline immediately.
