One of the great things about turning 65 is you become eligible for Medicare. The Medicare program means you’re not going to have to worry so much about your healthcare costs as you age and you end up needing more and more medical services.
But there’s something you need to know or you or your parents are approaching Medicare age. There is something the new Medicare recipients just aren’t tuned into and don’t know about. There’s a second part of Medicare called Medicare B. And if you don’t sign up for Medicare B when you become eligible for Medicare it becomes tough for you to be in Medicare B and get the benefits that other people get them for.
So know this, the alphabet really matters with Medicare. If you don’t pay attention to the whole thing and you don’t know about Medicare B it will eat up your wallet for the rest of your life. I’m Clark Howard.
