As holiday celebrations ramp up, the Food and Drug Administration is issuing a warning for dogs.

There have been 90 reports of dogs falling ill after getting “bone treats,” the FDA reported.

The “bone treats” are bones that are processed, dried either by smoking or baking, and packaged for sale as treats for animals. They include treats labeled as ham bones, pork femur bones, rib bones and smokey knuckle bones.

The treats also may have preservatives, seasonings or other flavorings added.

The FDA warns that the treat could send dogs to vets with blockages, cuts, vomiting, diarrhea or bleeding.

While there have been reports of 90 dogs falling ill, 15 dogs have died after eating a bone treat.
