If you want you to get ahead in life, how important is your first name?

LinkedIn recently took a look at the top names of CEO around the world. For guys, that includes Peter, Bob, Jack, Bruce and Fred. For girls, you have Deborah, Sally, Debra, Cynthia and Carolyn.

LinkedIn also broke down the top names by profession. When it comes to sales, the most common names are Chip, Todd and Trey. The most common names for athletes are Ryan, Matt, Jessica, Matthew and Jason.

The idea here is that what you name a child creates expectations for that kid down the road. A lot of times people choose cutesy names for kids. Now, I know that money and career are not everything. But maybe safer choices are better. Names that are long and difficult could prove to be a handicap later in life.
