Retailers Roll Out the Pre-Black Friday Sales

It’s still a week before Black Friday, but the deals are seemingly rolling out hour by hour today for Christmas shoppers.

 

Here’s a look at the pre-Black Friday sales at retail

1. There is a much better than normal Macy’s one-day sale going on today in store and online (ends Wednesday, Nov. 19 at midnight). If you stick to the doorbuster items, you will get Black Friday 4 a.m. kind of deals right now. You can have free store delivery, with pick-up the same day in most cases, or get free shipping at $75.

2. Fry’s Electronics is offering a number of items at their pre-Black Friday sale today. Many of the items are available free of shipping.

3. Sam’s Club, meanwhile, had a big sale last Saturday for Black Friday. (Remember, Black Friday is now a state of mind, not a day.) The items they didn’t sell through, most of them are still being honored today at those prices. I saw a 55-inch Hitachi TV for $468, among other stuff.

4. Walmart‘s pre-Black Friday event kicks off Nov. 21. For 7 days, Walmart will match competitors’ Black Friday sales. So if you go to BlackFriday.com or Dealnews.com and see a deal at another store, within certain limits they will match.

5. Finally, Target will have a 1-day sale on their own gift cards on Black Friday. From 6 am – noon online, or in the stores, you’ll get 10% off Target gift cards. You can buy up to $300 and pay only $270. They’ll be active for use the next day.
