The group tested more than 70 different models that just launched this year or have been revamped with what Consumer Reports describes as ‘fresh style, functionality, and imaginative touches. ‘ The rankings include both sedans and SUVs, with a wide range of price tags.

And while testing for the best cars of the year, the CR experts also came up with a list of the worst cars — new or updated models they weren’t so impressed with, considering all of the great options available today.
