Destination: Munich, Germany
About this photo:  Inside the Asam Kirche. Built in Munich in the 1700’s, this stands as one of the most ornate examples of  Bavarian late Baroque/rococo architecture. Just about everything is plated in gold.
Best deal found: In central Munich there is a huge outdoor food court/garden that tourists and locals flock to daily, the Viktualienmarkt. We had a fun, inexpensive intro to some German specialties: weisswurst (white sausage), schupfknudels (fried potato noodles), and of course, sauerkraut. That done, we found we prefered the German pizza, which was easily as good or better than that we’d had in Italy. And we’re wood-fired pizza snobs!

About this photo: This scary photo of a repairman fixing the plane wing with DUCT TAPE is from Sunday, May 3rd at 7:45PM. US Airways flight 771 from Charlotte, NC back home to Atlanta. Clark, would you be a little outraged if YOU saw someone fixing the wing of a plane with what appears to be DUCT TAPE? If they’re taping over a wing, just imagine what else they’re taping up that we can’t even see!! I shudder!!! – Marisa M.
Best deal found: By the way, I have a whole series of eight of these if you’d like to see more.
