Destination: Page, AZ
About this photo: I took this photo using long exposure while visiting the Antelope Slot Canyons on the Navajo Indian Reservation outside Page, Arizona.
Best deal found: We actually found that paying the fees to enter into the Navajo land to visit this canyon is a time to remember. Also, opt for the photographers tour, as they give you ample time to stop and set up your tripods to get the best shot. They actually throw dirt into the air to get that ‘dusty’ look you see as the dust passes through the sun rays entering the canyon from above.

Destination: Chichen Itza, Yucatán
About this photo: Just a simple photo of souvenirs for sale at Chichen Itza.
Best deal found: Strangely, the best deals on trinkets and souvenirs were found at Chichen Itza. The “hounding” sales people there were more willing to bargain (OK, let me win) than others in Cancun and Cozumel. I bought a couple silver chains for about $10 less than they would cost at Walmart.

Destination: Alaska
About this photo: While on a Royal Caribbean cruise along the inside passage of Alaska we took one of the whale watching excursions. This little fellow was playing along side his mother when suddenly he decided to leap into the air. It was a fabulous experience and a wonderful vacation.
Best deal found: We took the last cruise of the season in September. The weather was great and the scenery breathtaking. That last cruise of the year can usually be gotten for a good price as well and don’t worry about taking an inside cabin. With scenery like this you’re not going to spend much time in the cabin anyway.

Destination: Adirondack Mts NY
About this photo: This was the view from our campsite at Rollins Pond Campground in the Adirondack Mts. This is a really beautiful place I just wish it was a little closer to Atlanta!! If you are in the area don’t miss Donnelly’s Ice Cream at the corner of 186 and 86 just north of the town of Saranac Lake. They are only open in summer and only one flavor a day but it is the best.
